Station Group Search
The station group search tool will allow you to look up specific stations within the groups published. It will also allow you to look up groups for specific stations.
From the Price Documents screen click on the ‘station group lookup” link at the bottom of the page or you can also access this tool if you are in your specific price document by clicking on the link from the top menu.
Station Group Search
The main Station Group Search page is divided into two steps
Step 1
Group Search:
- If you are searching for a specific station to determine what group it is in simply fill in the province and city information and click submit.
- To select a province, click on the arrow and select a value from the drop-down list.
- For the city, you can start typing the name of the city, or click on the icon next to this box to open a pick list on which you can search.
City Tips
- A minimum of 3 characters must be used for a city search
- If there are multiple cites that contain the characters entered then they are all displayed and you must pick the correct one
- If the province/state is not filled in but the city is and that city is unique then the province state will automatically be filled in, if the city is not unique you pick the correct one and the province/state and city will be filled in
Station Search:
- If you are trying to determine what cities exist in a given group simply type in the station name and click submit.
- For the group search, you can start typing the name of the group, or click on the icon next to this box to open a pick list on which you can search.
- A minimum of 3 characters must be used for a station search
Step 2
- If you want to search for groups and stations by specific date simply fill in step one and specify your date in step 2 and click submit
- Note if you are searching from within the publication the default date is the publication date which you can change at any time
Station Groups Found
After doing your submit a new page will be displayed showing you the detailed listing of existing station groups found.
- The table will show the station name hyperlink and the effective and expiry dates of the group
- In order to view the list of stations in the group click on the group link
Station Group Search Result
- Clicking on the link will open up a new page “Station Group Search Result” with a list of the cities contained in the given group
- You can navigate through the cities (if there are many) by using the previous and next links in the top right hand corner of the table
- From the Station Group Search Results page you can also download your cities. Note: If there are more than 500 cities in a given group then you will be prompted automatically to download the list of stations to a MS Excel spreadsheet.
- This page also contains the email flag. If this option is checked off, email notification is sent to the person that requested the download once the download is completed. Should you decide that you do not want to receive email updates regarding completed download you can uncheck the box.
My Station Group Downloads
- This page displays a list of download requests that you have done in the last 2 days.
- The “Reference Number” gives you the name of the excel file that your download will be saved to. You can always change the name once you are about to save the document on your computer.
- The “Description” tells you the file(s) and file type from which the download is coming from.
- The “Download Status” can be either “In Progress”, which means that the document(s) you requested is being downloaded, or “Completed”. If you get “Error” this means that there was a problem with the download and you will need to re-submit your request.
- If your download status shows “Completed” you can now click on the “Completed” link to open the document.
- If you see “Completed 1 of 2” and “Completed 2 of 2” this means that the document that you are trying to download was too big for one excel spreadsheet and it is split in several parts for you to access.
- You can also use the “Update Download Status” button to refresh the page display and see if your document has finished downloading. Please note that once the document finishes downloading the status changes automatically and you are notified via email unless you choose not to be notified as explained below.
