Tracing by Pickup Number

What is this?

A Pickup Number is CN's security system allowing specific parties to retrieve containers from terminals on CN's network.

How is it used?

You may enter up to 35 pickup numbers at a time. Each pickup number is a six-digit number and must be preceded by the equipment Initial and Number. Separate each entry with a space, comma, semicolon, or carriage return. Values are interpreted as entered and must match exactly.

Cut and Paste

The input area may be populated by pasting data into it from another application such as a spreadsheet or internal system.

Procedure

Highlight and copy IDs from any application that supports cut and paste.

Select Copy from the <Edit> menu to place the data on the system clipboard. Then, click the mouse on the input box and choose <Paste> from the <Edit> menu. The contents of the clipboard will be pasted into the input box.

Caution: be sure to remove all characters, numbers, and special characters that are not part of the Equipment ID or they will be included in the trace resulting in a meaningless response.
